    • On the Census for 1790, William is shown with this wife, Nancy, and 1 son, John. He is living one place after his parents Johsua and Averilla.
      On the 1810 Census he has moved and is shown with eight children: three sons ages 16-15, they would be John, William, and Thomas, son 10-15, would be Benjamin, and son under ten would be Nicholas Bowen. A daughter 16-25, could be Ruth, 10-15, could be Mary Ann, and under 10 would be Sarah perhaps. He is living near Edward, who is probably a nephew.
      On the 1820 Census he is living in Baltimore and has 4 sons at home, Nicholas 26-44, Benjmain, 16-26, Nicholas, 10-15, and 2 daughters, 16-26. Also included in the household are 5 foreign born workers unnaturalized, 4 male slaves age 45 +, 1 female slave, under 26, and 1 free colored person.
      He is living near Edward and his son William lives one place before him.
      On the 1830 Census he and his wife are shown to be in the age range of 60-70 years, and they are shown living with 1 male 5-10, 2 male 20-30, 2 female 5-10. They are living near Edward and their son William.
      Deloris - I am packing to move to a house out of this apartment and in doing so was looking at a file and found a copy of the Will of William Allender dated 8/16/1838. He apparently could not write as he has made his mark "X". The Will was witnessed by Henry Guyton, Samuel Watkins and John Watkins, Jr. the point I am making is that one of his sons was Thomas D. Allender and also he mentions a Nicholas Allender. Apparently his daughter Sarah died before he did and he has named her children in his Will. He only mentions another son Nicholas Allender who he has left items and land to. I have re-read some of this and he does mention a son John who he left $5.00 , another daughter Ruth who married a Guyton he left land to her and another daughter Mary Ann Smith. He doesn't mention a wife.
      I don't know if this helps but above is the gist of his Will.
