    Notes 
    • Few records have been found on Jacob, but census records for 1810 and 1820 indicate that Jacob was married and he and his wife had three daughters. No census for 1830 has been found. By the time of the 1840 Census, Jacob is between 60 and 70 years of age and his wife has died. He is now living with two females, who could be his daughters, and with three very young children, who could be his grandchildren.
      The 1850 census shows a Mathilda who could be one the younger of Jacob's daughters. She would be 9 on the 1820 census, as she is 39 years of age by 1850, is married and has 10 children, ages 2 to 19.
