    Notes
    • The Inventory List [of Joshua Allender's estate] is also signed by Walter Tolley, an inspector. Walter Tolley’s daughter, Sophia Tolley, married Joshua’s oldest son, William Allender. Walter Tolley, in his will [Baltimore County, Maryland Wills], gave his daughter 'Sophia Allender, wife of William Allender, that part of a tract of land called Saint George’s lying on the south side of the road leading from the Gunpowder Old Ferry where Mr. Day formerly lived. Today’s map found in the Baltimore telephone book shows the “Alander” Road now leads to the Old Day Plantation. Walter Tolley described the road as leading to Baltimore. It has been severed by Highway 7, also known as the Old Philadelphia Road. The other remaining portion of the road is now known as the Forge Road. --"Legend" / R.E. Allender, p. 5.
