- Richard Allender (b. abt. 1801) is shown on the 1840 Census at Beaver Guernsey, Ohio, age 30-40, with wife Hannah age 40-50, their children are 1 male 5-10, Richard L., 1 male 10-15, William Greenlee, 2 female under 5, Mary A. and Elizabeth, 4 female 5-10, Nancy and 3 sisters Unnamed, 1 female 10-15, Sarah. This family is listed two places before William Allender (b. 1850) , and three places before George and Margaret (Allender) Lashey.
The 1811 tax lists shows Jacob Davis and William Allender both owning 200+ acres of section 30 twp 2 range 3 in Pultney. Both men got the land from Daniel Mcelheron. William's son, Richard, brother to Margaret and William, married Hannah Davis. Jacob is probably a father to Hannah. James Kelsey is also in the mix already in Pultney in 1811--auhja.

Richard Allender purchased in 1820 issued grant in 1831, his heir Alexander Allender rec'd the property in 1854 from Jonathon Watson ( I think Executor of Estate) then it went to George Lashley (Margaret's husband) in 1864 from Jonathon Watson (again Executor but same acreage and Plat ) then to Phillip Lashley in 1870 from George (Phillip was Margaret's son) so Richard Allender father the other people are Reiner, Mary allender married Joseph Reiner, the other deeds i have are from 1860 John Reiner to William G Allender then 1863 William G Allender to John Reiner and that is the plot next to the Richard/Jonathon Watson plot
this doc is dated april 5 1854 and it appears wm and louise signed in noble county
alexander was probably margarets brother, he was about the same age as her, anyway all i know now is that alexander and richard allender of noble county gave land to jonathon watson, jonathon watson recorded these land transactions on the same day, he also recorded that day land from pike county which is SW and hocking county which is SW but not adjacent to pike, noble, belmont, or guernsey, Richard allender and heirs to jonathon watson and alexander allender to jonathon watson and jonathon watson, jonahton watson also got land from jacob anthony and it was recorded with the other lands, and the administrator was john and susan crawford, the land was originally Hocking county and pike county, not sure i have to read everything but Hocking county, pike county and noble county are all intertwined with watson, crawford, jarvis,allenders, atherton? cant read and anyway that same land ended up from jonathon watson to george lashley margaret's husband
The probate journals are lost the estate files are lost, all they have is an Administrative docket which tells who did what, so i will send them $5, to get a copy of that, basically it named Thomas Allender, Hannah Allender, and Ankrom, a Wisecarver, a Nelson-i think Wilson, a Dillon, and a Cox, the estate was probated mar 1847, inventory june 1847 final account settled may 1851, which is about the same time Margaret died, and the 100 yr old Wiliam, so 1851 was a bad year for the Allenders of Ohio, FHC doesnt have much in microfilm for pre-1850 cases, and I was on the phone this afternoon with Guernsey county probate and guernsey county genealogical society, they both said Richard's estate is lost, as are all the estates 0-1000 estate numbers, they suspect they are in an attic, and they are not allowed to go there bc of bureacrats, they suggested we call the ohio historical society archives, as they said ohio's policy is nothing is to be tossed out as far as govt documents if an agency no longer wants the docs they call the historical society to take them and they usually fiche them, they said that may have happened to the early estate files, but they are not sure, I spent a few hours trying to make heads or tails of the ohio historical society's archive and web site, it is too big, i couldnt even figure out who to call! they also suggested ohio university at Athens they said they were the original ohio archives so they may have go sent there i couldnt find them at all! i looked into ohio researchers to pay them to go to the archives- they charge $20/ hour for work.

Richard Allender heirs to Jonathan Watson
Know all men be these preset that we Hannah Allender, William Greenlee Allender, Louisa B. Allender, Joseph Reiner (Ringer),Mary Ringer(?), Ezekiel Atherton Guardian of Elizabeth Allender and Richard Allender minor heirs in said estate in consideration of the sum of One Hundred dollars in hand paid by Jonathan Watson do hereby remise, release and forever quit claim unto the said Jonathan Watson his heirs and assigns forever all our Title in Trust and estate legal and equitable in the following premises with the appurtenances situate in Beaver Township, Noble county, Ohio and bounded and described as follows towith: Being the EAST ½ of the SOUTH EAST ¼ of section THIRTY TWO (32) in Township EIGHT (8) of range SEVEN (7) containing SEVETNY TWO ACRES AND FORTY FIVE HUNDREDTHS of an Acre, it being the undivided lands of RICHARD ALLENDER deceased in testimony where of we have here unto set our hands and seal this 5th day of April A.D. 1854 Exectued infront of

The state of Ohio Noble County, before me M Hindershott a Justice of the Peace in said county personally appeared the within named Hannah Allender, William Greenlee Allender, Louisa B. Allender, Joseph Ringer (?), Mary Ringer (?) and Ezekiel Atherton guardian for Elizabeth Allender and Richard Allender minors and acknowledge the signing and sealing of the within conveyance to be their voluntary act and deed and the said Louisa B. Allender and Mary Allender being at the same time examined by me separate and apart from their said husbands and the contents of said instrument made known to them by me; they then declared that they did voluntarily sign, seal and acknowledge the same and that they are still satisfied therewith this 5th day of April AD 1854, M. Hindershott, J.P.
